We have had a very good summer here at Quilter's Corner. Patty, Pauline, Bonnie, Linda & Diane are very pleased to welcome Karen to our staff. Karen is a long time quilter in the community and adds loads of experience to our already knowledgable staff. My daughter Stephanie has also joined us this year helping at the store and doing shows. She finds the time to quilt even though she is very busy with her two adorable little boys.We have all enjoyed some much needed time off this summer and are back and raring to go for a fall and winter season that is jamm packet with classes and shows. Here's a great recipe for those long quilting days!

  Slow cooker chicken and pasta dinner

   3 chicken breasts, cubed
   1 medium onion, chopped
   1 1/2 cups pasta
   1 can cream of celery soup
   1 can cream of mushroom soup
   1 cup water
   1 bag frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower)
   1 container Pillsbury crescent rolls, cut in strips

  Place chicken, onion, and pasta in slow cooker in that order. Mix soup and water and pour
over. Put vegetables on top and cover with dough in lattice form. Cook for about 4 hours on
medium heat.
